How it all Started

It all began at the first airgun shoot my brother and I attended. Our air rifles of choice were the CZ Slavia 631 spring gun with cheap 3-12 power scopes. Both our scores where very poor, barely out of single digits. The famous saying applied "We couldn't hit the broad side of a barn". Blaming the rifles, scopes, and targets did us no good, when a top shooter proceeded to try out our setups and dropped 4 out of 5 targets at 30 to 36 yds. He handed the gun back and noted that the scope was a little low, he had to hold over a bit on the last 4 shots to drop the targets. Well the gun was definitely not the problem. We had two choices go home with our tails between our legs or practice a lot. While the range was being packed up we looked at several homemade field targets, and thought we could make some to practice with. Well for the next month between work and honey do projects we built our first target. It worked well but had a few things that needed attention. The rebuild of the first target came out much better, so we took it to the next shoot. At this shoot we had marginally better scores just into double digits, we had not practiced much. The other participants at the Westfield Sportsman Club that day tried out our target and liked the design and function however they pointed out some things that would make it better. For the next month we didn't shoot a single target, we built 4 targets with all the improvements and then some. We went to the next match, our scores where no better, but the guys really liked the targets and even bought all we had. One guy inquired about a large quantity for pistol FT shooting, we had our first order. The rest is history. And we still have not practiced.
